What do the terms "bulk" and "wefted" mean?

Bulk hair is loose hair that is used for braiding and many other hair extension styles. We deliver it tied in a bundle ready for use. Wefted hair is hair used for weaving. It is sewn or bonded into a track ready for the weaving process.

What is the difference between Machine Weft and hand tied Weft?

Hand tied wefts are made by tying strands of hair around a strong weaving thread; this process is done by hand. Our hand tied wefts are much thinner than machine wefts because of the precision involved, and lay flat on the scalp. Machine wefts are made by sewing strands of hair together with a hair sewing machine.

What is the best way to cut a weft?

Hand tied wefts should never be cut from the top (the track), this is a common mistake made by even experienced hair stylists. If it is cut, then you should seal it with a good glue like nail glue or fabric glue. There is no guarantee that it will not shed if it is cut. Also, one should never sew through top of the weft and it is recommended you sew around the weft. With machine wefts, you can cut where desired. We cannot stress how important this information is, the main reason for wefts shedding is because the weft is not cut properly.

How Much Hair Do I need?

If you are getting a full Weave the average person need about 2 packs of hair, which will be 200g and fore braiding it is advised to go for 3 packs which will be 300g of hair. Some will need more some will need less. For weave it is best to buy two packs to make sure you have enough. You can always use the leftover hair later. If you are using hair over 18" long you might need another pack. If you are getting tracks one pack is enough for four to five tracks up to 18" hair length. If you are getting the hair bonded one pack is enough for four to five tracks up to 18" hair length. If you are getting fusion or micro linking you need to consult your stylist.

What Are Hand Tied Wefts?

Hand tied wefts are done by hand and are much thinner then machine wefts. They will lay flat against your scalp to give you a more natural look and significantly reduce hair bumps caused by bulky wefts. Hand tied wefts come in one long track and the length of the track depends on the length of the hair. All of our wefts are reinforced to prevent shedding.

Can I colour this hair?

Yes, this is 100% virgin human hair which is not processed in any way. So you can colour the hair. Once virgin hair is treated in any way, it is no longer virgin. Generally it is advised to make any major colour changes after having your extensions applied.

You may go in swimming pools and hot tubs. It is best to wash hair right after swimming. Avoid getting hair in salt water as the salt can take all the moisture out of the hair and it will lead to tangling of the hair. Never braid your hair and go in salt water. It is best to wear it down. Add a spray in conditioner after swimming.

Brazilian hair is said to be silkier and shiner in texture. The Brazilian and Indian straight hair is not bone straight like Chinese hair but instead is beautifully curled at the end.
